Glamorous or what?????!!!! Yes, these are the lengths I am going to to share our adventures! We’ve had a devil of a time with internet, so if I sit just right on the arm of the chair, laptop facing out the window, I pick up the signal from somewhere out there. Needless to say, reporting all this back to ya’all has been quite an interesting experience . . . LOL!

Some of the new exhibitors had some intriguing things to show us. Above is the Slice , a revolutionary new die cutting system that can cut pieces from 1/2″ to 4″ in size using images/shapes/fonts, etc. in its series of cartridges, OR–GET THIS!!! While it can operate completely sans computer, you CAN create your own on your computer, and the machine’s software will convert them and upload into the machine. I think these folks are onto something–they were here introducing the prototype. It operates similar to the Cricut, except you are not limited by the paper size and can position it anywhere on the paper surface you want, and just holde it in place while it does its thing! WOW!

msebig.jpg

MSE introduced new BIG stamps–I thought this punctuation set was cool.

There are TONS AND TONS of clear stamps being introduced by many scrapbooking companies. I’ll admit, I was not always a fan of clear stamps, but they have made so many advances, that the good quality brands are fun to work with.

I went nutso over this alphabet by Gel-a-Tins:

swank.jpg

Above you see Simply Swank–an intriguing little company started by two hip and stylish girlfriends. Their product line features kits for making soldered glass jewelry pieces that are just GORGEOUS!!! I couldn’t stop drooling and I am more determined than ever to learn to solder. FAB!

sarakim.jpg

Sara, Daven, and I got to rest our feet a while and enjoy coffee with Kim, owner of My Favorite Things–she’s launching her own stamp line and it’s got a fun, distinctive style that just makes ya’ smile!
artimprwc.jpg

I have always adored the Golden Oldies images by Art Impressions and they have released a number of instructional videos on watercolor–I couldn’t get a really great shot of the screen, but Pauline held up a finished piece for me. What fabulous videos they make! Close ups and details–perfect for taking private watercolor lessons right in your home! I loved how they show exactly HOW to achieve really good results with their method, which was very simple, but so impressive.

artdeclass2.jpg

Art Declassified is an awesome little company that sells UM rubber in CD Cases, and I was thrilled to find these military sets, which were actually their first series of images–there’s even a set for the USCG!!! My Dad’s retired USCG, and my brother served as well, so I was excited to see a set that catered to that branch of the military.

They also have some unbelievably detailed images that when stamped with the proper dye ink onto glossy paper, so closely resembled a photograph, that you needed to *really* look to see if it was a photo or a stamped image! Amazing!

We ran into fellow SCSer OldStamper and had a ball chatting with her for a few moments!

sweetbella2.jpg

Sweet Bella is a new embellishment company, with a gently shabby chic style, and I think stampers would have a ball with her little coasters, pictured above–you can create the neatest little shadow box magnets and whatnot with ‘em, and I’m thinkin’ you could even turn ‘em into shaker boxes if you tinkered around a bit! I thought they were intriguing, anyway!

Well, back to the shower for me, and onto the show floor to see what else I can to share with ya’all–today’s my last day at the show and tomorrow I head to Corona to spend time with my sister’s family. It’s impossible to share it all, but I’ll see what I can do to add more tonight, and more from my sister’s.

Hope you all have a wondermous day, everybody!

YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!!!January 29 2007

Daven did a make & take!!! Looky how proud he is:

So, I stopped by Autumn Leaves to check out what’s new and discovered fun new clear stamps, stampin’ on felt, and a rich new vintage line:

I just had to thank Kate Boetcher, of One Heart-One Mind, personally–she is this adorable bundle of energy and enthusiasm, with a smile that lights up the room. I had the most fun presenting her with a mailbox (from Target) that I had covered with their Madison Avenue Collection of papers. One Heart-One Mind was the first company to send our Dirty Dozen Designers products to play with–I’m just nuts for the clean design of their papers and their clear acrylic embellishments, and their rub-ons go on like BUTTAH!

The lighting way overhead in the hall was not the best for getting a great shot of this display, but, it was dazzling black and white and so plush, I just had to try for it:

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the new coming acrylic embellishments–*uber* cool and fun!

Since the site was giving me fits last night, going nowhere, I had to blog this morning, and now I’m late to get showered and back to the show floor–so, I’ll see ya’ back here when I have more pics and such to share!

So easily distracted . . .January 28 2007

One of the first places I had to stop was Hero Arts–love their style, and they’ve just come out with more awesome clear stamps! Scappers & stampers alike are gonna love these new monthly themed sets–so many possibilities!

Through our blogs, I’ve gotten to know Shari Carroll (top photo) and Lisa Spangler (bottom photo) designers for Hero Arts–these two chicks are two of my all time favorite stamping heros, and I was so thrilled this time to get to take pics and give ‘em each mondo hugs! They are just the nicest ever!!!

Provo released some new larger embossing quads, and a few more A-2 Folders–I love the hip and funky designs!

I’m REALLY lovin’ the new long dies–YESSSSSSSS!!! These will really be fun to work with, AND I SPIED PAISLEY DIES!!!!!!!!!! *Must* have!

For those with Cricuts, they primarily released a number of cartridges that are all Disney related; as I understood it, these new coming products should be hitting the shelves in April (?).

We didn’t get very far, because we were chatting and getting to know the folks at Provo, telling them about those crazy stampers over on SCS who are anxious for the next Cuttlebug/Cricut wave. (wink!)

Die Cuts with a View (DCWV) is releasing some fabulous new papers that are very Old World and just dreamy–they have gorgeous glitter effects!

Their patterned ribbons are absolutely beautiful, and I noticed their company is really getting into products that cater to paper crafters seeking to decorate their homes–shadow frames, and lots of over-sized die-cut Monograms, etc. These new die cuts below have a stunning clear coat on them that really shines.

We got to stop and have lunch with fellow SCSers who are taking in the show: Yippeeeeeeee!!! You’ll recognize 11Valerie11, Mona Lisa, SDiegoGal, Jami, Samwich, Leanne, Joy of Stamping and her new partner–they’ve opened a store!

dval.jpgjamisamtaylor.jpgjoy-and-gang.jpg

From what I’ve seen, it isn’t so much purple that’s making the splash as it is black & white!!! But, then I’ve only seen a smidge! It’s *huge*! SO *HUGE*!!!!! I gotta run back and try to take in more before they shut down for the night!

Thank you for tuning into the blog, and we’ll keep ya’ posted!
