Scor-PalJanuary 27 2009

It’s very cool to walk the CHA floor and see several our Member Companies who were in the new vendor area last year at Winter CHA move to the main floor.  Diana and Roy Crick were back for their 3rd consecutive CHA with Scor-Pal and the Scor-Mat.

Scor-Pal is one of those feel good stories about your friend next door who has a wonderful idea to make life easier and then develops the idea into a popular, valuable tool.  As a card maker, Diana was always trying to figure out how to create the perfect score lines in her cards and projects. She and Roy worked together to develop the Scor-Pal that makes box making, card scoring and 3-D projects a breeze. Diana pointed out that she just wanted a tool that would make stamping easier, the business taking off was a real blessing.

Thrilled to be back in Anaheim, the Crick’s are debuting a metric version of the Scor-Pal that will be available in late spring. The metric measuring option will open up a whole new world of project scoring for European markets. Check out the video footage at the end of this post to see their new perforating tool, as well.

Y’all know Stampin Gal Val  Valerie Stangle (11Valerie11) demonstrating at Scor-Pal.

Splitcoast Swap Mod, Michele Fischer (SDiegoGal) helps visitors to the booth understand how the tool works with a quick tutorial and helpful hints.

We’re thrilled to develop a relationship with the Crick family and Scor-Pal here at Splitcoast, and we’re grateful for the opportunity that CHA affords us to visit with them in person. Check out our video footage, straight from the CHA floor.

I am so glad I saw this video! I’ve had my Scor-pal for a while and never knew about the additional marks for a gate-fold that Valerie demonstrated! I aslo can’t wait to see that ‘new toy’ up close and personal! Thanks Val!

I’m sorry guys I know you all love this product and are glad to see someone doing well, but this piece of plastic is SEVERELY over priced. There is another option out on the market now that is just as good (as I have bought both to try them out). The other option is less expensive and appears to be just as durable.

I’m not posting the name here because I don’t want to get blasted for someone thinking I’m doing illegal marketing. I don’t work for either company, but I do own a scrapbooking business and I sell the lesser expensive model now because I did demo both of them. I just can’t see paying $39.95 plus shipping for a piece of plastic.

I also can’t see working with a woman who demands that you only sell the piece of overpriced plastic for $39.95. Telling a business owner what they can sell the product for is ridiculous.

ESPECIALLY since this woman is selling them too. So she is competing against her distributors?

Wow, not sure how or why this settles so well with all of you scrappers, but as a business woman, professional and a scrapper this does not sit well with me.
